RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Have an email/sms alert & log that shows unset triggered and WHY it didnt send.

    We rely heavily on triggered emails and sms to give clients check in information and there is no alert system to show clients have not received booking confirmation, entrance instructions or anything else. When there is an error it just shows red as not sent but no information on why it hasnt sent.

  2. Have a way to pre-fill new bookings with info based on "Travel Agent" field

    All ATO bookings are currently coming with the correct "Travel Agent" info.

    There should be a way to automate things like "Bkg Source", "Meal Plan", "Hide Rate On Correspondence", based on what "Travel Agent" the booking is made from.

    Some of these can be automated from "Company" field, but that has to also be manually put into the system, when I'm trying to have to make a minimum user input possible.

  3. When adjusting the reservation or recalculating the rate, the dynamic rate toggle

    The option to activate or deactivate dynamic pricing while relocating a reservation or making other price adjustments. For instance, a visitor currently has a three-night reservation without dynamic pricing. You recreate the rate when they wish to add a night, and dynamic pricing is then activated based on occupancy. Since those nights have already been confirmed at that non-dynamic price, we don't want dynamic pricing to apply to those that have already been reserved.

  4. Make invoices more editable eg add room type & remove room number

    We are writing to request the addition of a feature that allows us to edit guest invoices or invoice settings.

    For us specifically the addition of room types and the removal of room numbers from guest invoices.

    Visible room numbers have been causing complications, particularly with guest expectations prior to arrival. This is especially problematic for group bookings and events such as weddings, where guests often assume that the room number shown is fixed and confirmed. This has led to disputes and logistical challenges on-site when changes to room allocations are necessary due to operational needs.

  5. Dynamic rate toggle when recalculating rate or changing reservation

    Ability to engage to disengage dynamic pricing when you are moving a reservation or otherwise updating pricing. For example, a guest has three nights currently booked with no dynamic pricing. They want to add a night, you recreate the rate, and now dynamic pricing is triggered based on occupancy. We don't want to dynamic pricing to trigger on the nights already-reserved as they have already been confirmed at that non-dynamic price.

  6. Automate filling the 'reason for visit' as business/work field when a Company is selected

    Would love to see functionality that connects the Company Field in a reservation with the Reason-For-Visit field so that it could automatically fill based upon a set action

    For example, one of our reasons for visit is Business/Work, and often this is tied to the use of the Company field.

    There should be a way to have a rule that says: if there is a Company entered, then the reason for visit is Business/Work ; and this fills out the field without having to select anything in the drop down.

  7. Add hyperlink to SMS

    Really appreciate seeing all these helpful suggestions - great to know the community is actively sharing ways to improve RMS! I often watch tutorial and feature update videos, and using <a href="https://vidfrom.com/">Vidfrom.com</a> to convert them into YouTube MP3 files lets me listen while multitasking. Super handy when you’re trying to stay up to date!

  8. RMS Pay Transaction Activity to be included in the Reservation Audit Trail

    It would be beneficial to include RMS Pay Transaction Activity in the Audit Trail. For example when a credit card token is created, when a charge is processed, when a pre-authorisation is released; Currently there is no record of this on the reservation of guest profile audit trail.

    Return guest / VIP arrival

    Have a feature on guest reservation to easy view if the guest is returning guest and how many times they have stayed and for it to pick up on online travel bookings as well. This will create a warm welcome for the guests upon arrival and their status with the hotel.

    It would be great to offer PayPal as a payment option via RMSPay on the Booking Engine. The ability for guests to not only use PayPay but take advantage of Pay in 4 options would be ideal.

  14. Enhancement Request: Non-Virtual Number for International SMS via RMS

    We are currently facing a critical issue in our guest communication system at the resort. All our guest interactions are routed through the RMS , which is essential for providing a seamless experience. However, RMS is currently configured to send text messages (SMS) using a virtual phone number. This configuration is preventing SMS messages from reaching our international guests.

  15. Rate Displayed On Booking Chart

    It would be great to be able to have an option to have a select rate display at all times on the booking chart, similar to when rates display when you make a reservation. For us, who assign rooms at the time of booking, this would be a huge help for quick revenue management observations. We generally manage rates by room type and being able to see the room type occupancy and the price on the same screen would be great.

  16. I would like an easy report to show any future bookings for a company/travel agent

    I would like an easy report to show any future bookings for a company/travel agent, that shows their/our group code, date (check in / check out) which room type and how many of each room type (not each single reservation).

    E.g. Master res no / group name / arrival/departure date / room held (room type and amount)

    It should be a very easy overview of future booking help per company.

  17. Apply a Stop Sell or Black out period for specific Travel Agent allotments

    We hold allotments for a specific travel agent (who are not connected via a channel) and so there needs to be a way in which to apply a 'Stop Sell' or 'Black out' period on this allotment set up where we wish to remove the allotted dates. RMS have advised the only way to do this is to apply the travel agent allotment in to the system day by day (rather than over the time period) so that you can delete certain dates from the allotment when you wish for the stop sell on the allotment to be applied.   18. Add a tick box to remove VOIDS from REPORTS

    VOIDS should be removed from the reports as it drives accounting department nuts and really doesn't need to be there. Also causes more paper when you need to print. Thanks

  19. Grid Disappears on Horizontal Scroll with FilterRow in igniteui-react-grids

    Hi everyone, I'm running into a frustrating issue with the igniteui-react-grids module. When I scroll horizontally through a wide data grid (around 35+ columns with mixed data types), the entire grid vanishes after a certain point. The grid reappears briefly if I force a data refetch, but the issue persists. This only happens when filterUIType is set to FilterRow (the only filter type that seems to work for me). I've stripped my component to the bare minimum and hardcoded the data, but the problem remains.   20. Guest Search results should bring up reservation number/history on results page

    When you look up someone under guest search it doesn't show their current reservation so you have to click on their info and then to history to get to it. Unnecessary. Also, should allow more customization for the fields that pop up on the search results.
