Best Practices for Managing Multiple Properties in RMS Cloud?
Hello everyone,
I’m currently managing multiple properties through RMS Cloud, and I’ve noticed that keeping everything organized can become quite overwhelming. Does anyone have tips or best practices for efficiently managing multiple properties within the platform? Specifically, I’d like to streamline the reservation and reporting processes to save time.
If there are any guides, tutorials, or advanced features within RMS Cloud that can help with multi-property management, I’d love to check them out.

Override dwelling size
It's a good idea for new staff to have the new updated warning window for the size of a dwelling not to fit on a site. However, can it be overridden as well, please? It's very frustating when lots of sites have been allocated bigger dwellings, perhaps because we know the people have the ability to park on a site or the particular dwelling will fit after talking to the guest. We can't even write a comment in the notes and save that existing reservation, because it simply won't accept that person, on a site that size. As owners we…

Default In/Out Movement Screen Date to Audit Date
Currently the In/Out Movement Screen defaults to the local time on your computer. After midnight, we are still checking in guests that are from the same audit date but it's defaulting to the next day. This is confusing and doesn't make any sense when checking in guests after midnight prior to the audit. I imagine most hotels are still checking in guests after midnight for the previous night. I would would suggest the same for the Booking Chart.

Housekeeping module - have an arrival block option (in addition to current departure block)
I have set up departure cleaning blocks in Housekeeping tasks for a few properties that have a long clean, and there cannot be a same day arrival.
This only puts an out-of-service block on the departure day, but what about pre-arrival blocks?
For example, if there is a booking from 24-26 September, this departure block would then make it unavailable, and a new booking could then arrive on 27 September.
However, there is the chance that a booking could be made from 22-24 September, which becomes an issue with a departure and arrival on the same day. Therefore, there needs…

Add Search by Guest Name to Balance Transfer and Charge Transfer
Ability to search guest names in credit and balance transfer function
I would like the ability to search for guest firts name and last name in the credit and balance transfer functions to avoid having to first seperatly find the account number and then come back to this function to perform the transfer.

the function to auto-generate an invoice when the booking is made (and save it for portal access by a guest)
It would be great to have the functionality to auto-generate an invoice when a booking is made.
Basically that it generates, creates that invoice number and is then saved in the reservation (similar to building one now and choosing print, and when you want to view or save it).
Then once the invoice is generate, guests can access it via their guest/client portal.
This would streamline processes immensely and save guests needing to request an invoice, but not have it emailed.
It also saves having to show a breakdown of the reservation details (accommodation & package) within a form letter,…

Show the reason and change status for Out of Order on Clean Screen
It would be great if we could show the reason why a room is out of order on the Clean Screen. It would also be great if we could change the status/modify any out of order rooms on the clean screen instead of having to go to Utility and then Out of Order.

Job Management Room Search or List All
Right now when we go to put in a Job, we need to find the select the category first and then select the room number. It'd be great if we could have an option of all rooms to pick from.

To add a Front Desk Task
To add a reoccurring Front Desk Task with sub category on the To Do Chart to a chosen day of the week for chosen frequencies i.e weekly/monthly/fortnightly for a long date frame instead of entering individually.

With the Gift card/ Voucher Feature
Gift Card
It would be ideal to have access to a Dashboard of the Gift Card purchased through RMS.
You need to be able to easily find a GV to reprint or send to guest with a search area
Easily redeemable with other integarted POS like Ordermate
Need to be able to extract report of all "unused" Gift Card to see where the property liability is at

Reservation Made/Modified Details
It would be great if we could see the exact time reservations are made. Currently it only shows the date, but I know it is data that is collected and available when I go into each reservation. Same could be said for the Online Reservation Transaction report. We'd really appreciate this. Thanks.

We would like to be able to upload Payment file from for example Booking.com so that payment can be auto allocated against each guest

RMS Pay Receipt to Guests / Property
I believe that guests should receive a receipt via email when they make a payment via RMS Pay.
Guests don't think to 'take a screenshot' when making a payment.
Accommodation providers don't even get a 'notification of payment' for RMS Pay payments made. If property did receive a motivation of payment, then I would email a receipt to guests. But I also think an automatic receipt should be issued through the reservation management system.
There is definitely room for improvement here to ensure better communication between guest and the property.

enable notification of changes made in owner portal (by owners)
With the ability to allow owners to edit their contact details, emails address etc in within the portal, it would be good to have notification of these changes through the messaging system.
For example, we maintain an owner email distribution list external to RMS, so would need to have updates if owners adjusted their email address in the portal.
The functionally already exists for notifications of activity in the guest/client portal, so it would be great to have this enabled for the Owner Portal.

Ability to include invoice when sending out AR statement
When sending out AR currently. RMS do not have the ability currently to include invoices. Having invoices included would in turn faster payment as the company or TA can cross check the statement with pending invoices all in one email
