RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Housekeeping needs to be able to bulk mark rooms

    We are a 300+ bed hostel and our housekeepers have to choose every bed individually and mark them off when they start and finish cleaning.

    We clean multiple dorms at the same time and therefore desperately need a bulk function where they can tick off multiple beds/rooms when they start/finish simultaneously.

    If that can be implemented, a filter would be great to search for room numbers!

  2. Credit Card information

    We enter all guest credit card information into our fault at check in. When I want to receipt payments, I have to enter all details again like last 4 digits, card type etc.

    Would be great if I could choose existing credit cards that are already in the fault, so I don't need to re-enter everything again.

  3. Booking chart Filter improvent

    If I want to use the filter and look for a room 15 for example, all rooms come up that contain 15. It would be great if there was a box where I could specify that I only want matches that accurately match the search.

  4. Booking chart Filter

    We have 65 different rooms with multiple beds (Hostel) and if I want to move a group of people from one room to another, I'd like to be able to use the filter and search for specific rooms and then be able to move them on the booking chart.

    At the moment, bookings can only be moved if no filter is active, but with hundreds of beds, it's a lot of scrolling and nearly impossible.

  5. Booking Chart warning if booking is moved to another room type

    It would be great if RMS would have a warning window pop up when somebody moves bookings to another room type on the booking chart.

    It happened a few times to us now that bookings have been moved by accident, and now that original room type is booked out. It would be great if it asked for confirmation if we intended to do that.

  6. Would like to be able to see if guests have a saved cc token on the In/Out Movement Screen

    Instead of having to click into a booking to check who we need to collect CC information from, could simply view from In/Out Movement Screen all in one place

  7. Fix to do chart recurring tasks

    To Do Chart.

    It would be good if we could have recurring tasks that don't get set as complete once one has been completed.
    Ie. Every monday we take the bins out. Set this as a recurring task, but at the moment, if we select 08/07/24 and enter as completed, all future bins out tasks are also completed.

    It is very time consuming to have to manually enter recurring tasks for individual days.

  8. Completed tasks marked as clean in staff portal to move to a different tab

    Currently, we have only two options: incomplete or complete. After we inspect a room and mark it as clean, it would be beneficial if the room could be moved to a separate tab. This adjustment would help us more easily identify which rooms still need to be checked.

  9. Advanced Housekeeping Tasks

    Automatically calculate when rooms are DEEP/FULL cleans based on # of nights occupied. i.e. full linen/quilts/protectors every 5th night


    Would be good if RMS housekeeping tasks could automatically tell us when we deep clean rooms after X amount of nights occupied (i.e. 3x 1 night stays+2 night stays - we would change on the 5th night that room has been used). We currently manually have a register for each room in our property, that we mark out every 5th night the room is used, it gets a FULL linen change i.e. duvets, mattress & pillow protectors.

  11. Add Next Arrival in Area on the Clean Screen Task View

    See next arrival on task view, so that we can allocate prioritized rooms

    on the clean screen it would be great to see next arrival on the task view, this would make it easier to allocate prioritized rooms to staff.

    Right now when we open the To Do Chart its very hard to visualize if a task has already been completed or if it is still pending.

    It would be great if the completed tasks would be crossed over or change color. Same thing for overdue tasks.

  14. The ability to pause requirements being available through a bulk edit, or linked to the code groupings

    It would be extremely useful to have the ability to pause requirements being available through a bulk edit, or linked to the code grouping.

    We have an external linen provider for a location that is going to be away for a period of time, and the only way to mark the requirements as unavailable for that period was to update the validation settings in all 300 requirements.

  16. Add Country and IATA number to New Travel Agent report

    Add Country and IATA number to New Travel Agent report
    Missing Country causes issues when submitting Travel Agent commissions to Onyx. Knowing which new TAs do not have a country will help to avoid commission requests not being processed.

    Adding IATA will help us find new travel agents with same or similar name as existing Travel Agent like AAA Travel or BCD Travel

    Pre Check In > Mandatory information

    Infants are required to enter a mobile number and email address or pre check in cannot proceed.

    Functionality is required to turn this requirement off.

    More functionality is also required for managers to choose the information the require.

  19. I would like the Credit Card Gateway Token to show up if there is a Company Credit Card

    When a guest has a card in the gateway it shows up as green, so you know it is there. I would like this to show up a different colour when there is a credit card in the company account, in the guest reservation screen. This will save double handling. Currently it does not show up when booking a guest in under a company unless you go into the company itself.

  20. Remove Duplicate Emails in EDM > Send Campaign > Report Writer

    Please add to Report Writer the option to "Remove Duplicate Emails"

    We often have guests traveling in groups and coporate clients that use the same email address, so when we go to send an EDM, they end up getting the same email multiple times.
