RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. ETD - Departures

    In/Out Movements
    Have in the Departures section a box with the Estimated Time of Departure (ETD), rather than the ETA.
    Then we can check if a late departure is arranged without having to go into each booking.

  2. Have icons for bedrooms and bathrooms on rooms/properties online

    Our business type is holiday homes and apartments. We would love to add to the Sleep icon (number of people) other icons for bedrooms, bathrooms etc to show up on the booking page for individual areas/properties.

  3. I would like 2nd deposits due to show on the Overdue Deposit List for Master Reservations.

    Currently if the RMS reservation is listed as Master, the 2nd deposit is not showing, nor does the individual reservations show up on the Overdue Deposit Report. Could we either have a) Individual reservations on overdue deposit report or b) master reservation on overdue deposit report.

  4. Exclude Fixed Reservations from Inventory for Channels

    I would like channel managers (booking.com) to look at fixed reservations and not include as available inventory for "Quote" reservations

    Currently booking.com does not look at FIXED reservations when looking at inventory for available nights. Booking.com will still allow a "Quote" reservation and disregards bookings that are fixed and cannot be moved.

  5. Out of order Notes to appear in owners portal (purple bar)

    The ability for Out of Order Notes to appear in the owners portal so owner can see why their property is marked as out of order For example: carpet steam cleaning, external pressure wash or gutter cleans, etc ...

    Hi everyone,
    I’m exploring ways to streamline daily operations on RMS and wanted to check if anyone has experience with optimizing task workflows. Specifically, I’m curious whether there are built in options or recommended approaches for reducing repetitive manual steps when updating room statuses or managing housekeeping tasks.

  13. Message Centre - ability to ajust message centre according to user profiles

    I created a security profile for our maintenance team as well as Housekeeping Supervisor.

    Unfortunately in their message centre it is showing all new bookings and other inboxes, which are absolutely not relevant for them.
    Ideally it should only show internal communications and if they have a new job assigned, but there is not option to filter which messages should show for each user profile.

    It would be great to have a function for this.

  14. I would like the maintenance function to be more user friendly for daily operations

    It is great there is a maintenance function, however currently only the desktop version is available on the phone which is very small and hard to read or use on the go. A mobile version is not available.

    There is no way for our maintenance team to see that a new job has been posted (like a notificatin sent to their phone for example). We still need to send a message in our group chat instead of just using RMS as a centralised point.

    This would be a great function to further develop and make it much more user friendly.

  15. Capability to queue an arrival

    The capability to queue an arrival when a guest physically arrives at the property, even when their assigned room is not yet ready, is essential for managing guest satisfaction. This feature should also reflect on the Housekeepers' reports and screens, as well as the in/out screens used by the front desk staff. It is particularly critical during large arrival days when multiple guests check-in simultaneously, as it enables efficient room management and helps ensure that the needs of guests are met promptly.   16. To be able to add Charge Redirection to Payment modes

    When adding a payment mode, you should be able have the relevant sundries or charge codes added to that payment mode so that you don't have to add it into charge redirection as well.

  17. Form Letter Snippets

    We have a lot of form letters with contain nearly identical information but with slight variances for specific situations.

    If I need to change a section of the letters, I quite often have to modify dozens of templates.

    It would be great if the system allowed us to create Form Letter Snippets which could be used as components within form letters.

    The big advantage would be maintainability.

  18. Guest Portal - Prevent a Banned Guest from booking online

    We operate multiple caravan parks and have a banned guest list of people who are not permitted to enter our facilities. We have just introduced the online booking module, and we wish to prevent a banned guest from being able to make an online booking through the guest portal. If a banned guest was to successfully make a booking online, then our staff would have to manually cancel that booking and make contact with the banned guest to advise them and issue the refund. This loophole is not best practice for the system as further communications with a banned guest…

  19. When a reservation's need is removed, there is no charge.

    When we add certain conditions to a reservation, the associated miscellaneous charges will also be automatically posted to the guest account.
    This isn't the case, though, when prerequisites are removed. The associated miscellaneous charge will remain in the guest account even if we delete a condition from the "Requirements" section of a reservation. The arduous process of individually removing the various charges requires us to return to the account. Could this please be improved such that the associated sundry fee from guest accounts is automatically removed when requirements are removed?

  20. Triggered Correspondence – Ability to Target Specific Occupant Configurations

    Would like the ability to set up triggers that target specific reservations based on occupant details.

    Use Case:
    Currently, we have certain forms and information that apply only to specific types of occupants—for example, guests with pets receive pet-related information and a request for pet records. At the moment, we must send these communications to all reservations, even though they are only relevant to a subset (e.g., guests with pets).

    Requested Functionality:
    Enable automated triggers or filters that send communications only to reservations meeting defined criteria, such as having a pet, child, or other occupant attributes.
