RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Void Charge when Remove Requirement from a Reservation

    Some of our requirements are attached to sundry charges so when we add them into a booking, the attached sundry charges will also be auto-posted in the guest account.
    However this is not the case with removal of requirements. When we remove a requirement from the "Requirements" section in a booking, the related sundry charge will still stay in the guest account. We have to go back to the account and manually remove the sundry charge which is very tedious.   2. Custom Labels for Fields in the Guest Portal

    We need the ability to rename the fields in Guest Portal. We need to use the "common terms" we already use in our Form Letters and all our communication to guests in the Guest Portal as well. Customizing the name to fit our needs will avoid any confusion.

    For example, instead of "Booking Confirmation Number", we'd like it to be "NISADE Reference No." because this is what's in all of our correspondences (form letter, email, etc.).

  5. Guest Portal Enhancements

    • Display number of guests on reservation details. - Adults, Children, Infants, Other.
    • Use Total Rate including Packages and Discounts as the Reservation Total
    • Notify the Property when a guest adjusts ETA, makes a payment.
    • Pre-fill Guest Details on RMS IBE when Creating a Reservation from the Guest Portal

  6. Enhancements to RMS 9+ Mobile Functionality

    Current RMS on mobile device is far from "user friendly".
    The booking.com's mobile APP (Pulse) is a good reference for what should be included and/or improved. Key push notification for "Quoted only booking", "Cancellation", "New booking", "Modification", "Sold Out".
    Easy to make/cancel/modify a booking on the mobile device. Easy to search an existing reservation.

  7. User Defined Order of Allocated Areas for RMS Online

    To have a site list just for Online so you can change the order in which sites get booked rather than the numerical default of the system list which is normally numerical (same as booking chart). This would allow you to better serve customer by booking best sites first similar if they had rung

  8. Auto-relax Minimum Length of Stay

    Need the ability to auto-relax the MLOS restriction within "x" days of arrival. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this as this feature is included in a lot of other PMSs that are far less robust than RMS. If I have a two night MLOS on the weekends, I want to relax that restriction three days prior as I will then take a one night reservation. Currently I have to adjust this in the rate table if I want those one-night IBE reservations.

  10. Guest Portal to Allow Guests to Enter Credit Card Details Securely

    When using a Payment Gateway, add the ability for guests to securely enter their Credit Card details in the Guest Portal that creates a CC Token in RMS.

    This would be particularly useful for reservations that originate from a Travel Agent where credit card details are not included as part of the booking process.

  11. ******Rate Parity Adjustment on Tariff Manager******

    A function when setting up channels that allows a percentage to be applied to OTA channels to increase their price vs own price. Example would be when setting up the channel with Booking.com, you could set the rate parity adjustment to 1.1 which would increase the pricing of all booking.com prices 10% above the BAR rate. This method is available on other channel managers and saves all the extra work involved if trying to do this using the current methods.

  12. Separating credit card numbers

    When people make an online booking it might be helpful that their credit card details come through with the numbers in groups of 4 like in credit cards. It can make it difficult to read and process manually in the vault when the numbers come through without any spaces

  14. Ability to Hide Transaction Comments on Tax Invoices, Statements & Receipts

    Add the option to Hide Comments when printing:
    - receipts, statements, invoices etc

    Comments are important for accounting however not for the invoices sent to Companies.

  15. Updating Deposit Amounts

    If you have deposit amounts set up on your rates, if you change the length of stay on a reservation that would essentially cause your deposit amount to be greater than or less than the original deposit amount, RMS should update it in the account section of the reservation.

    This also becomes problematic when reviewing your overdue deposit report because it includes all of these deposits if they have not been hit because they're overstated. People should not have to override the deposit amount- the system should do it for them.

  16. Increase File Size Permissions for Online Photos

    Quality photos are so important for hotels and holiday parks. Along with price and reviews, photos are one of the main deciding factors potential guests look at when deciding where to book.

    We need to be able to upload higher quality photos, at least 1MB per photo, as 250KB is way too small and takes a lot of unnecessary effort to reduce the size of all our quality photos down to that size.

    The wording 'Deposit Required' at online booking check out would be more suitable as "payment required" as many properties require full payment. This becomes awkward and a negative reminder when referring to 'deposit '' when in fact full payment is required. Best to be positive about handing over money not reminding that elsewhere only requires a deposit.

  19. Pop-Up Alert to User When Multiple Users Editing the Same Reservation

    A pop-up alert would be helpful when multiple users (one reservation member, and another at reception for instance) are updating the reservation.
    Otherwise, both of them assume they update the date, but it is not the case with no data saved..

  20. Credit Card details should turn RED if card expires before arrival date

    We often receive reservations via booking.com (and other OTAs) for a future month (say 2 months or more in advance) yet the credit card provided expires prior to the month the reservation falls in, however the credit card may not have expired at the time the reservation was made.

    It would be great if RMS could highlight these in RED like other expired or invalid card numbers so that as soon as we open them for the first time it is obvious there is an issue that needs to be resolved.

    Ideally, the OTA API's should allow the Channel Manager…
